ERCOT

The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) manages the flow of electric power to more than 26 million Texas customers — representing about 90 percent of the state’s electric load. As the independent system operator for the region, ERCOT schedules power on an electric grid that connects more than 52,700+ miles of transmission lines and 1,030+ generation units, including Private Use Networks. It also performs financial settlement for the competitive wholesale bulk-power market and administers retail switching for 8 million premises in competitive choice areas. ERCOT is a membership-based 501(c)(4) nonprofit corporation, governed by a board of directors and subject to oversight by the Public Utility Commission of Texas and the Texas Legislature. Its members include consumers, cooperatives, generators, power marketers, retail electric providers, investor-owned electric utilities, transmission and distribution providers and municipally owned electric utilities.

Baird USA

As an independent financial services firm owned by its associates, Robert W. Baird & Co. Inc. has a huge stake in making sure they do the right thing – especially when it comes to workplace strategy and design and how it impacts their culture and business. When COVID-19 turned the world of corporate real estate on its head in early 2020, the Milwaukee-based company was proactive in addressing the complex puzzle.

“We were approached by Baird’s Chief Information Officer who said, ‘Listen, I have a problem,’” said Marty Young, Construction Project Manager at Baird,

The result was a breathtaking space that interacts and adapts with Baird’s associates as they work. Not only did Baird accomplish agile desking, but the team also designed numerous casual, tech-enabled meeting spaces. If an associate needs to take a quick video conference call, they no longer need to occupy a large conference room.

Livsmedelsverket i Uppsala

For the National Food Administration in Uppsala, the interior designer sought to create a “space within a space” feeling in the otherwise open courtyard with high glass ceilings. The different heights at Arc gave the space its own expression that is both enclosing and inviting. Arc is a product in Zilenzio’s Pro range made with rock wool for the best possible sound absorption.

Enfo

Enfo is a Scandinavian IT service provider of data driven transformation for its clients. We are 900 specialized experts working towards a more intelligent world, where technology strengthens individuals, businesses and communities. The Gothenburg office has office space for 175 employees. Pernilla Fogestam is Enfo’s office manager at the Gothenburg office and is responsible for all general office affairs.

Enfo was experiencing problems with far too high noise levels, in part due to so many people sharing the same area, and in the canteen, from where the sound would spread throughout the premises. Zilenzio helped Enfo find a solution, and Pernilla believes it made a big difference.

“The noise is not at all what it was. The biggest challenge was the lunch room, which is very tall and features a glass ceiling. The incredibly loud noise would spred throughout the office area. Now, the levels are normal. The feedback from my colleagues has been very positive”
