When you fly, you must not forget how difficult it was to take off.

Fortnox started in Småland’s Växjö in 2001 with an idea so innovative that the market took years to catch up. Bookkeeping on the internet was simply almost unthinkable then. But Fortnox founder Jan Älmeby was inspired by his vision. He had tried to elevate the idea in other contexts, and was rejected by already established businesses. But he did not give up. “Online bookkeeping will be the next thing,” said Jan – and thus started Fortnox.
