It started with a specific project need and led to the development of a new product in our collection. When Aker BP and Aker Solutions developed their new office in Stavanger, Norway, they chose a solution from Zilenzio to create workspaces that support focus, calm, and well-being.

Aker BP is one of Europe’s leading oil and gas companies. With strong roots in Norway and a clear focus on innovation, the company develops energy solutions that are both efficient and responsible. Together with Aker Solutions, which contributes advanced engineering expertise and technical solutions for offshore projects, they form a strong partnership where development and execution go hand in hand.

In the new office, home to around 4,000 employees, the ambition was to create an attractive and cohesive work environment that supports both collaboration and individual work.

Working alongside dealer Senab Eikeland and interior architects Zinc, the team began searching for a desk screen that could meet their requirements. They were looking for a solution with rounded edges on all sides and a stone wool core for effective sound absorption. When no existing product matched their needs, they turned to us at Zilenzio, known for developing tailored solutions for specific projects.

Through close collaboration, a custom solution was developed. A prototype was created and tested through acoustic measurements to ensure the right performance. The result was well received by both Aker BP and Aker Solutions, who chose to implement the solution across their offices.

The custom-developed table screen later became part of our Pro collection under the name Dezibel Table Arched. A solution born from a real need, now helping create calmer, more focused work environments in many workplaces.
